At the end of my street you can get 4 bars on your cell phone. In my home 1 or 2 bars only. The calls cut out all the time so when I do have a good connection I stay frozen like a statue so I don’t lose my call. If you have a bad signal at your home, cottage or your RV or car, then I got good news for you.
I used a product from Z-BOOST called YX545. Once it’s up and working I now have 4 to 5 bars of signal strength in my house. It works so well that I can get rid of the land line.
Here’s how it works..
A little antenna gets mounted on the roof of your house or the side. A coax RG6 cable comes off the antenna and goes into your home, this cable plugs into a little tiny box, and you’re done, signal boost is complete.
First step – I got up on my roof with my phone in hand. I established that I had a strong signal. Inside and below me – the signal strength only generated about 1 or 2 bars, however where I was standing a full on 3 to 4 bars. So I attached the little antenna under my satellite dish. I happened to have a spare cable on the roof that the satellite dish was not using, which I then plugged into the antenna with the other end already located in the house. In the house I plugged this tiny box into the wall for power and the cable from the antenna into it as well. SUDDENLY! EXCELLENT CELL SIGNAL AND RECEPTION!
If you don’t have any cell phone signal at all in your home, try going on your roof with your phone ( beware of the dangers of going on your roof, you may need to call an expert ). You may find on the roof that you do have 1 or 2 bars, that’s all the cell phone booster needs. It must have a signal in order to boost it, and can’t boost a non-existent signal.
Now there are smaller and mini versions of this as well for cars as well. I live out in the country and am surrounded by rolling hills, which interferes with the phone signal when I am driving… my phone cuts out… A LOT, I may try this one next…
