An Android box is a little computer inside a little plastic box, about the size of two iPhones. It connects to the Internet to stream TV and movies using a program called Kodi.
Kodi can be programmed using files from different websites to bring up the channels and movies to stream.
IS THE ANDROID BOX LEGAL…
As of this writing, law says that it’s illegal to download movies and TV to keep as files, the Android box gets around this problem by streaming the video, so you are watching video, not saving it as a file, the same way you do as a YouTube video, since you are not keeping files what you are doing is not illegal.
DOES THE ANDROID BOX NEED UPDATES OR REPLACEMENTS…
YES to all. Yes, it will need updates and YES it will need to be replaced. The nature of the Android box industry is that the software that runs on the boxes are always in a state of change. Changes are constant and mostly small ones that the boxes update them on their own. Some changes are bigger and need to be brought into a computer store to be reprogramed for a fee. Some changes, mainly the bigger ones will not work on older boxes and these boxes will need to be replaced. If you buy an Android box you will need to remember that you will need updates and sometimes a new box, this all depends on new updates that are coming in.
WILL I GET EXACTLY WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR LIKE SPORTS OR A TYPE OF CHANNEL…
There is more content on the box then you can imagine. Yes, there is sports but it may not be the team or type of sport you want to follow. Different updates can be made to the box to try to focus on what sport or channel you want to view, but whatever work is done, whatever changes are made so you can view your sport or channel, this too will change and need to be reprogrammed. Most users watch TV shows or movies, and if this changes this can be found in a different listing on the channels. The box is best for TV shows and movies.
WHY DOES MY ANDROID BOX NOT WORK…
Most likely the wifi signal in your home has degraded, so the servers on the internet that stream the video to you are a little slow. If your wifi is not very good and the servers on the internet slow down just a little, or someone else in the house is doing something on the internet and hogging all of the speed, the movies, and TV shows will not work properly. So the main two things that stop the boxes from working is the internet speed and bad wifi signal from your Modem/Router to your Android box and the need for updating the programs.
